Dr. Richard German was the brother of Dr. Dan German. In 1920 Richard German, 40, a doctor of dentistry lived at 504 Fifth Avenue with his wife, Pauline, 35, and their son, Richard, Jr., 2-6/12. In the same house but shown as a separate household were Dr. German's widowed mother, Adalicia, 71; her son-in-law Samuel Webb, 57, a farmer; her daughter Graham Webb, 49; her grandson Samuel G.
