In 1920 Louise Ashe, age 5, was living at 96 Haywood St., Asheville, and was shown as a daughter of Mattie Ashe, 45, a widow. Other members of the household were Ida M., 25, daughter; Mildred, 2-11/12, daughter; and Louisa Dorn [?], shown as Mattie's mother. It seems likely that Ida Mai was in fact Louise's mother. She evidently never married.

Georgia Louise Ashe was born July 27, 1914. She married Joseph E. Loosier [1908 - 1978] and died on February 4, 1938, three days after giving birth to their son Donald Joseph Loosier [February 1, 1938 - May 9, 1942]. According to my mother, Donald Joseph died of appendicitis while his father was out of town and could not be reached to consent to surgery.
