John Scott Morgan Butner was born January 3, 1855, in Coffee County, Tennessee, and died on May 12, 1930, in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee. He married [1] Lettia Ann Scott [about 1847 - about 1891] on February 23, 1876 and [2] Simmie Lorene Russell [March 1871 - November 15, 1932] on October 2, 1894.
