In 1910 Joseph S. Holt, 53, a farmer, lived on Hillsboro Pike [North Side], with his wife Thenia, 42, and their children, Willie, 20, a laborer at odd jobs; Claude, 18; Mattie L, 16; Bessie, 7; and Ollie, 10/12. In 1920 Joe A. Holt, 63, a farmer, lived on Bear Creek Road with his wife, Tenie [?], 53, and their daughters Mattie L, 25; Bessie, 17; and Ollie, 10. My mother wrote Ollie's name as "Hollie," which would be a more unusual name for the time period. I believe that her memory was in error. Sources: |
